The theme of SHUSHU/TONG FW22 collection, Ashes of Roses, draws inspiration from the color of the dress Father Ralph gifted Meggie in The Thorn Birds, the shades of which symbolize the preordained misfortune of a forbidden love. Meggie’s subjectivity torn between a self-concealing restraint and a willful determination for love.

Through the lens of this collection, the SHUSHU/TONG girls surrender to the evident prospect of inevitable consequences at the risk of being perceived as foolish. Because they believe love to be a choice, even when the price involves sacrifice.
