J KOO is a duo designer brand. Both graduated Menswear from Central Saint Martins. J KOO’s sensibilities are inspired by tailored feminism and street culture.
Their academic and professional background, Jinwoo Choi’s experience at Saville Row and Yeonjoo Koo’s experience at Peter Jensen in London, purely influence on overall design process from toil to finished garment. The balance between two designers formed unique J KOO’s style; Tailored Feminism and Street Culture. J KOO has launched in April 2012. Not long after in 2015, J KOO was awarded Emerging Designer of the Year by Council of Fashion Designers of Korea. Spring Summer 2016 collection has been exhibited at Vogue Talent Italy after being personally selected by Sara Maino.
In 2016, J KOO was International Woolmark Prize Womenswear finalist after winning Asia region. J KOO’s work has been featured in the likes of style.com, Vogue US/Korea, Dazed and Confused UK/Korea, Elle, W Magazine to name a few.
Currently J KOO is stocked in Barneys New York, Lane Crawford Hong Kong and China, Harvey Nichols Hong Kong, Galleries Lafayette Shanghai and Beijing, Beams Japan as well as many other stores around the world.
